Below are some frequently asked questions when hiring a celebrant - If the question is not listed just ask.
Is There A Timeline For Bookings?
Normally it about 12/18 months but again we will suit your needs as long as I am available
Who Can Be Involved In The Ceremony?
The great thing about a celebrant’s wedding is that any family friend can have an active part. Whether its reading/music or being part of the ritual - they are all welcome. Get them involved - it's something they will remember for years to come.
Can You Legally Marry Us?
Currently Celebrants like myself don’t have the licence to legally marry – you have to apply to the Health Authority to do this. I will give you full details of what is required. I cannot sign your legal documents, this you must perform within the HSE. You can find all available information here: www.hse.ie/go/marriage
Do We Have To Get Legally Married?
The choice is yours. Some couples choose to have a ceremony to declare their love for each other. It is entirely up you if you choose to make the commitment legally binding.
How Do We Pay?
I will discuss the fee once we have met. A deposit initially will be required with the final payment 2/3 weeks prior to the ceremony.
Do We Have Input Into The Ceremony?
Yes absolutely - think of me as being the MC - the full ceremony detail is at your discretion. You can add in or omit anything you want.
Are The Any Restrictions On The Date Or Location?
None at all. We are Independent Celebrants and not restricted by state restrictions, so your ceremony can take place any time, any where and at any place.
Can We Plan Our Ceremony From Abroad?
Definitely. We can SKYPE, FACE TIME or email to plan this big day.
Looking forward to hearing from you - “MAKING YOUR DAY SPECIAL”
